Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics (NURE) is one of the oldest universities of technology in Ukraine with a strong focus on IT and engineering education. It ranks among the top universities in National Rankings and is in the group of 221 – 230 in QS EECA University Ranking 2021. NURE has 7 faculties offering 43 bachelor`s, 60 master's and 14 PhD programmes. There are 8000 students in NURE including 1000 international students.  

The university hosts the Eastern-Ukrainian branch of the IEEE, Kharkiv ICT ACM-Women Chapter and is a pioneer of distance learning in Ukraine. It is an active participant in numerous national R&I projects, 1 project of FP7, 6 COST Actions (H2020), 12 projects on CBHE and 15 projects of academic mobility funded by Erasmus+, 7 research projects funded by DAAD, Royal Society, NATO SPS Programme, Horizon2020 MSCA-RISE.   

A recently created Science Park accommodates research and development facilities and fosters the growth of various innovative initiatives and projects facilitating the tight cooperation between education, research and business.   

The Department of Artificial Intelligence and the Department of Economic Cybernetics (members of the JoinMe project) are active participants in a growing number of cutting-edge research and educational projects through a large network of international partnerships and collaborations.
